OUR CORE VALUES

Needs Driven

Our initiatives are derived from identified end-user needs which are identified through a Complete Participatory Needs Assessment Process (CPNA).

Partnerships/ Collaboration

We ensure that activities are developed and implemented in a collaborative partnership synergising each other’s strengths and weaknesses, we are willing, and ready to learn from others and to share our experiences too.

Integrity

We uphold integrity; we keep our word. We adhere to moral principles in dealing with ourselves and partners. We seek to be honest, transparent, accountable, fact-driven and partner of choice in the development sector.

Participatory

In all our activities, we endeavour to involve the end users through needs identification, implementation, and monitoring, evaluation and learning.

Holistic

As the nature of end-users’ needs is complex and intertwined, so is our approach. We apply a systems approach to analysis by focusing on how that system's constituent parts interrelate, and how systems work within the context of larger systems.

Accountability and Transparency

The principle of transparency and accountability is applied to all affairs and activities of RAEIN-Africa. RAEIN-Africa activities are open to scrutiny by all its stakeholders, with the exception of matters provided for by law.

Inclusiveness and Equity

We will ensure that institutional systems are balanced, taking into account all those that have an interest in the organisation and its future. RAEIN-Africa acknowledges and respects the rights of all stakeholder groups.

Fostering resilience

We promote resilience in the way communities build their livelihoods and manage the ecosystem as a means to address food insecurity whilst adhering to sustainability principles.

Gender sensitivity

We strive to respect and to be sensitive to gender issues and needs in all our undertakings.

Mutual Respect

We respect all stakeholders and promote social justice through the adoption of a rights-based approach. We seek to ensure that voices of the socially and economically excluded are heard and incorporated into policies that will ensure sustainable livelihoods.

Sustainability

In all our actions we will aim to achieve sustained actions for all our beneficiaries, partners, environment, and the network. We, therefore, promote internal evaluations as a vehicle for ensuring the inclusion of sustainability mechanisms in interventions.

Dedication

We are responsible partners, committed to ensuring our intended beneficiaries are well served. We seek to maintain good relations with our partners, investors, staff and other stakeholders.
