The project is implemented through UNEP. RAEIN-Africa is the Lead Executing Agency (LEA). In each country, the ministry responsible for biosafety is the National Executing Agency (NEA). The NEAs in turn enter into agreements with two national implementing laboratories, with the exception of Angola with one lab (For details, see diagram below).
